I’m every kid’s best friend (but not the imaginary kind). In addition to being a pretty great pal, I hold a lot of water. I also have a locking lid and a flipping awesome straw. If you’re impressed by my tricks now, just wait ’til you see them in person.

Sadly disappointed

I’m obsessed with my Owala so I was so excited for my kiddo to have his own. I’ve honestly gotten at least 15 people to but one. The kids version claims to not leak…it literally pours out if you tip it over. Sometimes when I flip it open it even spits water out like a fountain. Very very disappointed because clearly the manufactures noticed it “leaks” or more so, spills.

So far so good here!

First of all, I love the larger size of these kids' bottles. All our other water bottles are 12oz., then we go to the beach or on the boat and the kids guzzle it down in an instant. This will greatly reduce the number of times I have to fill up their water bottles. Also, as long as it is closed, it does not appear to leak for us. My 4-year-old brought her "new" bottle into my bed last night, I didn't even realize it until the morning, but because she knew to put the straw down it didn't leak, PHEWWWW. I have a kids' bottle from another brand that was completely tightly closed and it still poured out almost entirely in my bag. So, for me, I am a fan of the Owala over that brand. And like the other reviewer said, when liquids go from cold to warm they expand, that's why milk cups always leak when you add new cold milk to them, too. It just is what it is with water bottles. I haven't even experienced that yet, though.

Addicted

I love these cups. I'm literally addicted. I have had an obsession with finding the right water bottle for years and never felt satisfied.

Well now I can't stop buying these. I love the free sip spout.

For everyone that keeps complaining about the flip spout leaking when they open it needs to go back to science class.

If you put cold water in the cup, as it heats up the pressure builds and will force the liquid through the straw. Use room temperature water or drink it quickly or open the straw every now and then to relive pressure.

Don't give the cup a crappy review because of something that will happen with any straw cup and cold liquid. Owala can't stop science

Not happy

Love my owala bottles and was very excited for the kids version but it’s leaks and when you open the top to drink it pours out and makes a mess . The opposite of what kids cups are suppose to do .

We're sorry to that your bottle has leaked. It appears that some pressure is building up in your bottle. This can be easily vented by untwisting the lid before use, making sure the flip cap is open when screwing on the lid, and/or opening the flip top slowly to allow pressure to release.

Bummed

I LOVE my Owala free sip. I have recommended these to everyone I know. I have 3.5 year old twins and when I saw the kids cup I was so excited BUT I am SO disappointed. If you pour cold water in this cup then open the lid to drink water shoots out Like a geyser. Also it leaks. The entire straw full of liquid will spill out if tipped over or dropped. I’m so sad… I now have 2 useless water bottles in my pantry. Ugh.
