Finding Connection Through Creation
When I started Made by Mary, I had no plans or vision behind it. I was in a major ppd fog after having my son and was experiencing a bit of an identity crisis. I was a new mom, holding my tiny baby and searching for something to hold onto for myself.
I needed a reminder of who I was—what grounded me, what gave me purpose. So I made a necklace. And when I wore it, it felt like wearing my heart right there on my chest.
From that first piece, I discovered that jewelry could be more than beautiful—it could be powerful. It could carry memory, meaning, and identity. The kind that holds space for your story even when you can’t find the words.
It was personalized jewelry for women like me—designed not just to accessorize, but to anchor. Every piece we’ve made since has been a reflection of that belief: that what you wear can help you feel more like you and tells a part of your story.
And all these years later, each time someone finds their story in one of our pieces, I still feel that same spark.

When I first saw the necklace inspired by the Owala bottle, I couldn’t stop smiling. It’s tiny, clever, and kind of perfect. Like someone bottled up Owala and turned it into something you can wear. Unexpected, a little flirty, and sneakily meaningful.
