I've seen the light. Tumblers are cool, actually.

Let me start by saying that I'm by no means a Stanley girl. All that bulk and noise, the necessity of using larger purses and carrying more weight- it all felt like more of the performance of hydration versus the warding off of my normal 2pm "I don't use water bottles" headache. I didn't want any part of it, and remained resolute... until my husband bought an Owala bottle off the recommendation of a friend. I did like the Free Sip he purchased- its ease, its slender profile, it's durability and the slick feat of its drinking spout. I was intrigued, but not inspired to reach for my wallet just yet. I tooled around on the site, trying to decide if I liked the color ways more than the actual utility, but decided to throw caution to the wind for a 40oz tumbler to keep "by my bedside" (I live in the north east- dry mouth is the phantom that menaces my sleep eight out of twelve months of the year). Only, that's not how things ended up going. The 40oz got dragged from bedside, to desk, to kitchen, to couch. I found myself holding it while watching TV, drinking placidly while the Red Sox squandered my dutiful faith once again. It kept my water cold as ice for several wondrous hours at a time, and I began to look at my glassware with the same sullen resentment I usually reserved for... the Red Sox. A month into tumbler ownership, I have seen the light. Cheers Owala, you converted a true skeptic with ease.

FAQ

How do you remove and replace the slider on the 40oz Tumbler?

If you need to take out the slider for cleaning, all it takes is a few easy steps.

To disassemble:

  1. Remove the straw
  2. Push the slider completely away from the drinking spout… push hard!
  3. There should now be space to get your finger partly beneath the slider.
  4. Lift the edge of the slider closest to the drinking spout upward.
  5. Once the slider is popped off, you can easily pull out the silicone gasket

 To reassemble:

  1. Set the gasket back in place
  2. Fit slider back into the tracks
  3. Slide forward

Do you sell replacement straws and lids for the 40oz Tumbler?

While we don’t have replacement lids for tumblers, we do have straws! Click here if you need a new one (or just like having backups).

What safe liquids can be used with the 40oz Tumbler?

Water not cutting it? We’ve got good news! Tumblers are also friendly to other liquids, such as soda. It can even handle hot drinks, but use caution with hot drinks and never have them be hot enough to scald.

Do you sell bottle boots?

Absolutely! If you want to protect your tumbler from dings, dents, and loud clanging noises, our bottle boots give it a soft landing. Check out our colorful options here.
