How to Set Up and Collapse Your Tote
Setup is simple.
- 1. Remove the storage strap—it’s wrapped around the tote.
- 2. Slide base out from exterior straps.
- 3. Place base inside bag with Owala logo facing down. Press firmly on all sides until it clicks into place.
- 4. To collapse, do all that—but you know, in reverse.
Now let’s break it down.
1. Remove base and set it aside.
2. Slide base behind the straps on the side of the tote.
3. Slip the storage strap onto the tote until it rests across the base.
4. Secure strap and store until next time.
Want to remove the handles or crossbody strap?
1. Locate the slit next to the buckle.
2. Feed the buckle through the slit.
3. Slide the strap free.
How to Clean
- For any spills or mess, just rinse with water. If that's not cutting it, you can use mild soap and water on the straps and bag. Avoid any abrasives or harsh cleaners. Follow these instructions to keep your go-to tote adventure ready.

Do's
- Allow the tote to completely dry before storing.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Don'ts
- Put more than 40 pounds worth of stuff in it. Despite being big, the Sun-Day Tote still has limits.
- Overload any one side. Weight needs to be evenly distributed to avoid tipping or damage.
- Submerge the essentials pouch in water (but it is splash friendly).
- Expose to extreme temperatures—it doesn’t like that.
