Owala Tattoos are our unique approach to bottle customization—with a whole lot of personality. In our customizer, you can choose between engraving a bottle to reveal the stainless underneath, or printing a design in full color. It’s a permanent way for you to make our bottles yours.

What can I get on my bottle?

Your customization options are nearly endless. Choose from our gallery of designs, add a name or phrase in one of our approved fonts, or upload your own art (or photo!). You can even add all three at once. Are the ideas flowing yet?

What products can I customize?

Accepted Answer

Literally everything (almost). Engraving is available on all our products including pet bowls, tumblers, SmoothSip® Slider mugs, and the whole FreeSip® fam (FreeSip®, FreeSip® Sway, FreeSip® Twist, FreeSip® Tumbler, and FreeSip® Kids). UV color printing is available on all of the above except pet bowls and tumblers with handles. Full-sleeve wraps are available on select sizes including 32oz and 40oz FreeSip®, 18oz and 24oz FreeSip® Twist, 24oz Tumbler, 12oz Kids Tumbler, and 12oz and 20oz SmoothSip® Slider.

What if I’m not an artist or designer?

Our gallery is a work of art. Crafted by real people and constantly growing, it’s filled with unique ways to express yourself with engraving or color printing. Explore by category and by style to find the design that speaks to you.

What size is the printable or engraveable area?

Accepted Answer

The design area is slightly different for each product and depends on your choice to engrave or print. We’ve created a handy chart for you to reference so you can design and upload accordingly.

Is there anything I can’t get on my bottle?

As a family-friendly company, there are some images and phrases we cannot engrave or print. We do not allow any third-party content, nor objectionable or inappropriate content. If your upload appears to violate these guidelines, Owala may reject or cancel your order at its discretion. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more details.

Can I engrave and print on a bottle?

We know decisions are hard—but mixing engraving and UV color printing on the same bottle isn’t possible. Each option offers a different way to personalize your bottle (and you can always get two if you can’t decide).

What else can Owala Customization do?

Accepted Answer

Once you upload your art (or photo!), add text, or select a design from our gallery, you can resize each element, move them horizontally and vertically, flip the orientation 90°, 180°, or 270°, and adjust within the bounds of the print area. You can also share your design with friends so they can order the same thing.

Can I share my custom Owala bottle design with someone else?

Whether you're twinning on purpose, customizing for a team, or just love your friend’s design skills—we’ve got you. After designing your custom bottle, hit the "Share" button to send your unique recipe to a friend. They’ll get your full design—colors, fonts, image orientation, all of it. All they have to do is pick their bottle color and size.

How do I upload my own art?

Accepted Answer

Select your own artwork, or purchase it from the website and/or artist you’d like to showcase. Make sure you own the rights to any art you upload. Click the upload icon and select the file on your device. For engraving, we recommend SVGs. For color printing, we recommend SVGs or PNGs. All file types should not exceed 10MB. If your PNG has a white background, it will be printed along with your design—so make sure to remove it first. See our Terms & Conditions for full uploading guidelines.
